Acorn Project welcomes Kevin Chryst aka Kreestoe to the family

We are so very excited to announce the addition of Kevin Chryst aka Kreestoe on drums! You can catch him beginning on Spring Tour as of March 21st playing full time with Acorn Project. Kreestoe’s years of experience with projects including TapHabit, Vaughn Kreestoe, and the Staxx Brothers, and his crushing style rooted in deep pocket funk, jazz, and rock n’ roll adds a new dimension to the Acorn lineup that will turn heads everywhere. Come see Kev at a show soon!

After 8 hard years of ripping the kit, packing the van, and many epic adventures Todd Benedict has decided to take on a new path in life. We are so thankful for the experiences we’ve had with him, and we’re excited to turn a new page with Kreestoe as well. We wish Todd the best in all life’s endeavors.

Spring Tour Dates Announcement

Spring Tour dates are being added with stops on the West Coast from Bellingham to San Diego, introducing new markets for a first time run in the Southwest in AZ, NM, and NV, and then off to Colorado! Highlights include St. Patty’s in Seattle at the Hard Rock Cafe, Portland with Scott Pemberton Trio, a return to our N. Cal favorites (Arcata, SF, Tahoe), a S. Cal run highlighted by a stop at Winston’s in San Diego, and a 2 night run in Denver supporting JGB with Melvin Seals all before returning home for our Fan Appreciation Night and a huge blowout in Bellingham.

We’ll be hitting the road shortly after our NYE blowout in Bellingham with stops planned in Tahoe, SF, Jackson Hole, Stevens Pass, Mt. Baker, Seattle, Portland, and more! Check the projects page for a full list of tour dates. Many more TBA announced, so check back frequently as a second full leg will be added soon.

NYE 2011 – Dazed and Confused

We´re so excited to be back in Bellingham for NYE this year. After a couple of year´s off, we are planning to stick with our past movie themed NYE parties. This year we have chosen music from Dazed and Confused. Our good friends Polecat will be joining us supporting the night, so come out early. As always we won´t disappoint with a great light production, champagne toast at midnight, and some free merch giveaways throughout the night. Tickets are $15 advance at the Buffalo or through their website www.wildbuffalo.net, or $20 at the door the night of at 8pm. This one will sell out, so grab your ticket early and let´s party! Bring in 2012 with AP!

Fall Tour Announcement – Halloween Run, Mountain West, and Colorado

Following such a crazy Summer festival tour, Acorn is pleased to announce a Fall tour and Halloween run that will take us back out into the mountain west and Colorado. These will be the final tour dates of 2011 for Acorn Project. We have plans for a New Year’s Eve announcement in Bellingham forthcoming, with extensive west coast, midwest, and ski mountain touring slated for early 2012.

Our 2011 Halloween run has dates scheduled in Portland (10/27), 2 nights in Victor, ID (10/28 and 10/29), and Halloween proper with our good friends Yamn in Breckenridge, CO (10/31).

Following Halloween Acorn will be appearing in Denver at Quixote’s (11/4), Boulder, Ft. Collins, several CO mountain towns, Monroe and Park City Utah, North Idaho, and Spokane. Please check the our tour dates as confirmed dates are being added.

We will finish our Fall tour with a show on 11.11.11 at The Wild Buffalo in Bellingham with the Quick and Easy Boys supporting. Hope to see you all at a show!
